yeahwriters: Prompt idea by MSTrimmer: Write about someone caught up in the last days of a revolution. Either successful or unsuccessful. I love this prompt because it could go many ways (romance, historical or political fiction, etc), but it also fits beautifully with one of my favorite genres which is post-apocalyptic fiction/sci-fi! I love it in books, I love it in movies and I love it...

The hardest part is often the first paragraph… Sometimes it can be the whole first page, or it could even be just the first line. The point being that it’s usually not the writing that’s hard, it’s the getting it started. A close second is actually finishing, but I think that mostly only applies to long works where you are more prone to bouts of losing your momentum.
